About Us
The Federation of The Institutes of Food Science and Technology in ASEAN (FIFSTA) is an autonomous, non-political, non-profit organization dedicated to advancing food science and technology in the ASEAN region. Our mission is to foster collaboration among professionals, promote innovative research, and enhance the quality of food science education and industry practices.
Who We Are
FIFSTA is a regional grouping within the International Union of Food Science and Technology (IUFoST) that provides ASEAN's food science and technology expertise to the global community.
FIFSTA comprises leading scientific, technical, and professional organizations from ASEAN countries, all united by a common goal: to advance food science and technology for the betterment of the region and beyond. Our members include institutes, associations, and individuals committed to promoting excellence in food science and technology.
What We Do
FIFSTA promotes close cooperation among food science and technology institutes and associations across ASEAN. We focus on:
Enhancing professional development in food science and technology.
Facilitating research, product development, and technology transfer.
Advancing knowledge and education in food science and technology.
Supporting the development of the food industry with an emphasis on skills, productivity, and quality improvements.

To be the leading federation of scientific and technical associations in ASEAN, collaboratively working towards a future where food science and technology significantly contribute to the well-being of people in ASEAN and worldwide.

To promote close cooperation amongst the Institutes or Associations of Food Science and Technology
To promote the profession of Food Science and Technology as a means for the betterment of the people of ASEAN and, wherever possible, mankind
To promote research, product development as well as transfer of technology in the field of food science and technology
To promote the advancement of knowledge and education in the areas of food science and technology
To promote the development of the food industry with emphasis on skills, productivity and quality improvements.

Organize, promote and develop appropriate means to meet with other organizations, institutions, groups and individuals concerned with and/or engaged in work related to food science and technology
Endeavour to foster coordination, cooperation and collaboration in matters relating to the exchange of experiences and views, research, instructions, promotions, documentations and publications.
